Creative Nottingham North has been developed by Rebalancing the Outer Estates Foundation in collaboration with The Creative Quarter.  A host of cultural and community partners are getting involved to realise the vision. If you can contribute to the vision, as an artist, organisation or venue, please get in touch with the Creative Nottingham North Coordinator, Cathy Mahmood at

Rebalancing the Outer Estates Foundation:
A charity, helping to Rebalance the outer estates of Nottingham North with the skills, jobs, leisure and health opportunities needed to develop balanced sustainable communities.

Graham Allen, ex-MP for Nottingham North and founding Chair of Rebalancing says:

“Rebalancing intends that our Creative Coordinator will do for Nottingham North what the Creative Quarter has done for the City centre. CQ have been brilliant and generous in developing a “little creative sister” in the Outer Estates. There’s a lot of talent here and the project will recognise and promote that, while bringing new funding and opportunities to the area.

The arts help make balanced communities, connect people, build healthy neighbourhoods and raise aspirations, so Creative Nottingham North is an essential part of realising the Foundation’s aims, including boosting health, wellbeing and employment.”

The Creative Quarter: Nottingham’s flagship project for economic growth

“The Creative Quarter initiative in the city is about building creative enterprise, creative people and creative places. Nationally, the creative and digital industries in the UK are worth over £71.4 billion and the Creative Quarter initiative has helped bring a significant amount of that to the city, boosting the local economy, creating jobs and making Nottingham a better place to live, work and play. We’re looking forward to using what we’ve learnt to do the same in Nottingham North.”
