The Princess and the Pea – at ACTC!

University of Nottingham’s Lakeside Arts are coming to Aspley this week! They are bringing a charming and beautifully quirky dance theatre adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Princess & The Pea to ACTC on Thursday 31 May – with two performances at 10.30am and 1.30pm!

This is a Wheee! on Tour performance, part of Nottingham Lakeside Arts week-long international children’s theatre and dance festival.

The story tells of a prince who wants to marry a princess, but is having difficulty finding the right woman. Something is always wrong with those he meets. Performed by the brilliant Norwegian company Dybwikdans, this adaptation encourages children to help the king decide whether this unusual creature, who isn’t wearing the usual dress he considers befitting of a princess, really is a Princess (of course she is … but he needs your help).

Children will have the opportunity to dress as either a prince or princess, get up close to the action and have a fun morning with one of Europe’s leading children’s theatre companies.   Please let Cathy know if you’re coming by calling / texting 07808 165209 or cathy.mahmood@rebalancingouterestates.com
