We are delighted to be inviting community group leaders, from across Nottingham North, to meet Neil Bennison, Music Programme Manager at the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall (TRCH) at Bulwell Riverside on Thursday 19th October, 6 – 8pm.
Neil’s job is to bring huge orchestras and great classical soloists to the Royal Concert Hall, one of the biggest and best concert halls in Europe. If you run a community group or work in a setting that would benefit from some music workshops; come along to this session to find out how orchestras perform their amazing music, whether that’s in the concert hall, as movie soundtracks, or even in video games. Together we will explore how you can work with the TRCH to bring musical workshops and performances to your group, whether young or old.
In this informal and fun session, Neil will give an illustrated introduction to classical music and concert-going, including the ‘Universe of Sound’ project run by the world famous Philharmonia Orchestra of London. You can find out more about the current and future programme at the TRCH and can share what kind of music programming you would like to see in Nottingham North.
Refreshments will be available.
We are pleased to offer all those who attend the session on 19th October, complimentary tickets to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s performance of ‘The Planets’ at the Royal Concert Hall on Fri 27th October.
