How much fun can you have being creative with little ones? It’s limitless! This wonderful project is taking place every Thursday morning for 7 weeks at The Hope Centre / St Martha’s, (135 Frinton Rd, Broxtowe – Aspley ward). Using our imaginations and experimenting with materials, each week Artist Sian Watson-Taylor brings an array of materials and gives us a different theme; from Drawing and Markmaking, Colour and Painting experiments, Dens and Construction, Sculpture and Texture, Weaving and Sounds, Sensory tubes and lights. We are having a trip to Nottingham Contemporary – the Art Gallery in the Nottingham City Centre – on 8th June and a Celebration Event as part of Bilborough Arts Festival on 6th July! To find out more, call Cathy Mahmood, Creative Nottingham North Coordinator on 07808 165 209 or come along on Thursday mornings.
All of the sessions are helping us gather ideas together for an ‘Arts Trolley’ that will be designed and made with ideas from parents taking part in the course – to be used and shared as a new resource for creative play sessions in the area.
This project is a partnership project between Rebalancing the Outer Estates Foundation and Nottingham Contemporary with funding from SSBC Innovation Fund.
